Completed in 1998 as a gift from Rymond Schirmer in memory of his late wife, Maxine, the Maxine and Ray Schirmer building contains the OLPH offices, Gift Shop, and Dining Room.
OLPH Offices
The Schirmer building houses the OLPH offices for our staff. This is where Retreatants will check-in upon arrival. Visitors who are interested in spending time walking the OLPH grounds, visiting the stations of the cross, and praying at the St. Joseph Chapel are welcomed. We ask that you check in at the OLPH Office to register and receive information.
Gift Shop
In the vestibule of the Schirmer building, you will find the OLPH Gift Shop. The shop offers a variety of religious and contemplative books and CDs, rosaries, prayer and novena booklets, cards, and a variety of other religious and spititual items. The Gift Shop is generally opened Monday-Friday from 9:00 - 5:00, as well as during the Sunday Monthly Day of Prayer from September through May. Dining Room
Upon entry into the Schimer building, double doors lead into the the Dining Room. The Dining Room has a maximum seating capacity of 150 persons and can be partitioned into three separate dining areas. French doors open onto a screened porch, creating a comfortable outdoor atmosphere. The Dining Room is also equipped with a podium, microphone, CD player/speakers, and Wi-Fi in the event AV equipment is needed by a group. Recently remodeled restroom facilities are located outside of the Dining Room.
