Many retreatants come seeking direction for a life decision that faces them; others desire simply to grow in their relationship with God. Almost without exception, they leave having found the peace that only Jesus can give. A one-on-one retreat with an experienced spiritual director is a privileged place to encounter God by way of the Spiritual Exercises.
The 7-night retreat includes the elements of the 30-day retreat in abbreviated form and is open to laity, religious, and priests. It includes exploration of matters of the heart, daily hours of contemplation and meditation, daily meetings with a priest, and availability of Reconciliation. Mass is also celebrated daily, usually at 11:15 am. The retreat begins on the afternoon of your arrival day and ends after lunch on your last day.
It is highly recommended that the retreatant has completed at least a 3-night retreat prior to participating in a 7-night retreat.

Check-in
Check-in is at OLPH's Maxine & Ray Schirmer building between 1:00pm and 3:00pm on the first day of your retreat. For those who have chosen spiritual direction, this allows the opportunity for a brief meeting with your spiritual director on your arrival day before the evening meal is served at 5:00pm. Private retreats usually conclude with lunch on the final day.
Should you find that your travel plans necessitate arrival or departure outside of normal business hours (8:30am-5:00pm), please contact us to facilitate arrangements.
Accommodations and Meals
You will have a private room and private bath. Sheets and towels are provided. You will want to pack comfortable clothing, medications, and personal care items. Once final registration is completed and payment is received, OLPH will send you an email with additional information regarding arrival.
Retreatants will be provided a continental breakfast daily between 7:30-9:30 am. Lunch is served at 12:00 noon and dinner is served at 5:00pm. Lunch and dinner are served in the Dining Hall. If you would like to bring additional snacks and/or foods for dietary requirements, please feel free to do so.Please communicate to us, as part of your online registration, any medical dietary restrictions. We will do our best to accommodate them.
Cost
The cost of the 7-night retreat is $1,089.00 + tax and fees.
